Amor Grain was started by Brian Amor and his family back in the 1996.

The mill was built to ensure continuous supply to Hexton Poultry Farm that was rebranded Amor Eggs.

Amor Eggs supplied the supermarket and the local market from their base at 171 Stanley Road.

The egg business closed down in 2021, after the sale of the Poultry Farm, but the retail feed store which operates from the front of the mill continued to stay open, supplying grains and chicken food to the Gisborne community.

In 2021 upon deciding to retire the grain business was sold to new owners.

The owners, committed to continued supply of grain, chook food to the wider region has also expanded to take in brands from outside the region and supply Gisborne with quality feeds suitable for a range of livestock.

The business operates as a mill producing feed for the wholesale market as well as the end user.

We can provide stockfeed solutions right through from a small bag of Chick Starter to bulk units of dairy feed sent North and South of Gisborne.

We operate Monday - Friday 9am - 4pm with a little loyal team of familiar faces who are more than happy to provide some good ole fashion customer service.
